Week 1 had no elimination, so Week 2 will (probably) have two. Here's how that affects your picks:

Hail Mary: Pick two Bakers to be eliminated in Week 2. If Week 2 ends up with only one elimination, your "Baker #2" pick rolls forward and will count whenever the double-elimination week occurs.

Weekly: Pick two Bakers to be eliminated in Week 2. If only one Baker is eliminated and either of your two guesses is correct, you will get 1 point. You will continue to pick two Bakers to be eliminated in each Weekly Pick until the double-elimination week occurs.

Please pray to the living patron saints of Bake Off — Mel, Sue, Sandy, that pale bald guy, Mary Berry, and Prue Leith — that the double-elimination happens in Week 2 and no further modifications are needed this season. Amen.

How To Play

The show, the competition rules, and how you can win a Fantasy Cake Stand. (You can't. It doesn't exist.)

The Show

12 amateur Bakers compete across 10 themed weeks. Each week: a Signature bake, a Technical challenge (judged blind), and a Show-Stopper. One Baker is eliminated each week; one wins Star Baker. A Hollywood Handshake from Paul Hollywood is the highest compliment. The last Baker standing is the Champion.

Hail Mary Competition

After watching episode 1 only, predict the entire series. There's no changing them once episode 2 drops.

After each episode, predict the following week. Picks lock on Thursday at 11:59PM Central. (Or whenever the Commissioner goes to bed Thursday/wakes up Friday.)

Rules
  • The email you enter is your "password" to make sure you aren't guessing for anyone else. It doesn't have to be a real email address. The Commissioner will never email you and will protect your data as best as she knows how. If you forget your email/password, you can email kaylizpod@gmail.com for help.
  • Episodes air in the US on Fridays. Guesses must be submitted before the next episode is available in the US. Expect the guessing to close when the Commissioner goes to bed Thursday/wakes up Friday.
  • Hail Mary guessing will close at midnight on the day the second episode is available in the US.
  • Don't cheat. Spoilers can happen because of time zones and the release schedule in the UK. Just be cool. There isn't a prize so why are you so desperate to win?
  • You do not have to watch the show in order to make guesses or participate at all. A blind guess beats not guessing at all.
